I was really shocked to hear about Lon's passing. He was truly a fine, talented, gentle man who spoke from the heart. He shared his love of family, art, music and interior design with me and we became good friends. A friend I cherished. His smile could like up a room. He will be greatly missed. Lon, Thanks for the great memories. Marge Lanzara

I spent 6 wonderful months with Lon as a fellow student studying abroad in London, England in 1985. How could you not love a guy with that name? I have so many fun, silly memories of him as we explored Europe together. I am so sad I didn't connect with him recently to say hello and how much I enjoyed hanging out in the Coleman Lodge with him. As I look back at my photos I have to laugh that he told us how pictures of people standing in front of things and smiling was boring so we started to have a "surprise look" every time someone took a picture. Those photos still make me laugh today. I notice today is his birthday. I will raise a glass in his honor and his memory.

I was fortunate enough to know Lon since the mid 1980's and through the years as a brother-in-law to my sister and brother-in-law. Although we weren't technically related, I always considered Lon to be family, my own brother-in-law. I fondly remember his wedding to Suzanne followed by the birth of each child. It was so obvious how profoundly he was affected by both. I know that he deeply appreciated the blessing of Suzanne and the children, whom he loved with all his heart. He was a devoted husband, father and friend who will by sorely missed by all who knew him. His passing is an incredible loss to all and I hope and pray that the memories of him will be a comfort to all who knew him.

Lon offered true friendship when it was needed. He was there for me during a transition in my professional life. Lon had good taste in many things, particularly in sound design. Lon was generous. Together we filled the Ridgefield Playhouse with music and sound to raise money for a neighbor with cancer; it was a profound experience for us both, and led me to start Band Together, a charity music group raising money for Connecticut families in need. Lon loved his children and all children. It was obvious in how he cared and related to them. Lon loved Suzanne. I miss you Lon, and hold you in thoughts of peace, harmony and oneness.

To someone who loved his family and who had a great passion for music. Music was his outlet and his family was his love and foundation. I remember Lon generously providing the music at my 50th and also at a monster "Friedstock" bash (no small task). We know Lon is now pain-free and surrounded by the best music he's ever heard, through the good Lord's sound system. And yes I'm sure Lon at this moment is tugging our Father's ear advising how to improve the sound mix. Shine on Lon, shine on. Peace be with you.

Go gently little brother to a place where you can find peace at last. Although 16 years separated us in age, you were a good friend whose company brought me good times and fond memories. We shared a love of good food (you were an awesome chef), and music. Your talent for both were a delight to share in. Thank you too for bringing Suzanne and your beautiful children into my world. They are your gift to our present and our future. Peace

I love my brother and will miss him greatly. He had a great love for his family, and was enormously talented as well. Lon was with us for but a short time, and I pray that while we mourn his loss, he is finally in a place of peace for him.

One of the things I enjoyed about Lon was his love for his children. He had a twinkle in his eye when he'd share an antidote of the funny and cute things they'd do. I also have a fond memory of him getting out his microphones and top notch sound equipment for an everyday play date so that our kids could put on the best show ever! My heart misses the creative, bright, thoughtful, witty Lon that I remember. Peace Lon. We love you!

I have so many wonderful memories of Lon. He was always so kind to me and my family and made us feel like part of the family when we came to visit. Lon was truly a dedicated father and his love for his family was obvious. I remember talking about design, Boston, music and so many other things while the kids played around us. Lon was always so considerate of others. I pray that he has found peace.
